Education

Transformation Alliance seeks to work with Timor's local authorities toward national transformation. We believe that education is key to translate into reality Timor's development goals.

Every year of completed schooling is a vital step towards building a future labour force of healthy, literate and employable citizens.

Promote Excellent Education

  1. Develop a Center of Excellence for Education to facilitate teacher training and in-service modules for Timor's educators.
  2. Facilitate school-twinning for the purpose of teacher friendship exchange, program funding and resource sharing.
  3. Enhance preschool and primary education for both boys and girls through excellent enrichment programs.
  4. Help to develop a central library and a school resource hub in every District capital. Where possible, service schools in remote areas through mobile units.
  5. Sponsor the education of one thousand school-going orphans, giving priority to the children of former freedom fighters.
